Ryan Seacrest claims he was snubbed by Andy Cohen when they hosted their New Year’s Eve special this past weekend.
“It was funny because my big play was right in front of Anderson [Cooper] and Andy, Seacrest, 48, to Kelly Ripa during Tuesday’s episode of “Live With Ryan and Kelly.”
“When I wasn’t working, I was trying to get their attention.”
Then the “American Idol” host showed Ripa, 52, how he waved to Cooper and Cohen, who were hosting CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live.”
“I thought maybe I was in the shot. I just wanted to wave and say hello. They put on a great show,” Seacrest explained.
“Anderson, the best. He turns around and says, ‘Have a good show.’ Very nice. Andy didn’t turn.”
However, Ripa refuted her host’s allegations and alleged that Cohen, 54, tried to say hello to Seacrest.
“That’s not true. He said he was trying to get your attention,” the “Live Wire” author said.
Page Six has contacted Cohen’s representative for comment.
Last year, the “Real Housewives” producer snubbed the ABC broadcast team for Dick Clark’s New Year’s special Rockin’ Eve, which Seacrest hosts.
“If you look behind me, you’ll see Ryan Seacrest’s Losers Group performing,” Cohen joked during a 2021 New Year’s Eve show. “I’m sorry but if you’re watching ABC, you’re watching nothing.”
After Cohen’s comments went viral, the “Watch What Happens Live” host issued an apology for his remarks.
“The one thing I regret saying, the only thing is I criticized ABC broadcasts, and I really like Ryan Seacrest and he’s an amazing guy,” he said on his talk show “Radio Andy” this past January.
Cohen admitted he was “just stupid and drunk” that night.
“I just kept talking and I shouldn’t, and I felt really bad about it. So that’s the only thing [I regret]. It’s the only thing.”
Ahead of the 2022 NYE special, CNN announced that it is banning alcohol consumption for on-air talent. Naturally, Cohen and Cooper, 55, found other creative ways to indulge in some drinking with a countdown to 2023.
